Some of mama’s friends hosted a baby shower for her and you at work today! This is your second baby shower. How lucky you are; you even got a Mamaroo! ๐

Papa and mama had their third ultrasound today. We paid extra for this one, at Perinatal Vision (Des Moines), since doctors would only do two ultrasounds during our pregnancy. The first midwife we saw recommended it to us. Here are some pics of you, our baby Dylan! ๐ ย You are super healthy and we can’t wait to meet you in two months!

Our dear baby Dylan,
We can’t wait to meet you in person! Around June 10 you will be born, and you can bet lots of love will be here waiting for you, from all of us! Papa and Mama have already thrown you a baby shower and you already got so many cute presents! Papa and Mama loved opening the present and reading the messages of love to us and to you.
We also bought your crib already and papa spent some 5 hours or so putting it together, because some pieces were defective and some labels were missing. However, it feels so good to see your crib ready, waiting for your cute self to lie in it. ๐
Grandma Elisa bought you a cute owl that can also be used to shine light on books that either we will be reading for you or that you will be reading yourself later on. Lastly, papa bought a great book about babies and kids that has a lot of great information (by Penelope Leach). I am having a great time reading it and getting ready for you! ๐

Baby Dylan,
Today we saw you on the screen for the second time! ๐ You were a little stubborn and wanted to lie belly down all the time, so we could not get a great view of your face. However, you seem to be very healthy and all your structures seem fine. We are very happy about that! ๐

Papa, Mama, ย your grandparents (Elisa, Valentina, and Viktor) and your uncle Vitya just came back from Miami Beach, where papa and mama got married! ๐
We all had a great time and were there for a week. You received many presents already (including various books) and will be so much loved! Grandma Elisa brought us your dad’s (me) first toy ever! It’s a nice little giraffe I used to play with when I was a baby and that our dog Tucha also played with for many years. I can’t wait to see you play with the awesome giraffe which has been in our family for over 30 years now! ๐
Tomorrow we will see you again on the ultrasound and are super excited! ๐

Hi son!
A few days ago, some friends came over for dinner. Sam (USA) and Elisa (Equador) brought you a nice little gift! Sam works in education and literacy, so he decided to give you a nice little book for daddy and mommy to read for you. This one is in English, but MANY others will follow in Russian, Portuguese, and English as well.
We love and can’t wait to hear your heart beat again on our upcoming doctor’s visit. We are keeping our fingers crossed that you will be a great, polite, intelligent, sweet, funny, and book-loving boy! ๐

Papai (“daddy” in Portuguese) saw a really beautiful video today that made me think just how much I can’t wait to see you! I want to enjoy every day of your life (and our lives together) slowly and make the best of every single of them them because you will grow so quickly! Mama and I can’t wait to play with you every day and see your personality develop little by little!
We hope you are having a good time in mama’s belly and promise we will get you a more spacious abode once you are born, ok? ๐

It’s now official! Mama got news today that you will be a boy! ๐ We now need to think of a nice name for you, one which will be at least asย awesome as you will be, buddy! We are SOOO happy that you are healthy and can’t wait to hug you and love you!
